Check your tab before you pay! There's not enough room to describe the worst dining experience I've had in 70 years. Service was abysmal. Food was horrible: sent one meal back, two other meals were either over cooked or COLD, and it took us 2 1/2 hours to eat because the service was so bad. I rarely check the bill but I had forgotten my glasses and asked my guest to verify the amount so I could pay. He discovered a $2 charge FOR ICE applied to every "on the rocks" drink order. The explanation we received was that there is more liquor in a drink with ice which is the reason for the $2 charge. ????? When asked if there was an extra charge when getting a soda with ice we didn't receive an answer. In my life there are 3 restaurants I'd never recommend. This is one of them. The poor service, unacceptable food, and apparent dishonesty in how they choose to charge their patrons make Ristorante Lago a MUST AVOID.
