Aurora Vision Center

I am so disgusted with Aurora Vision Center and the doctor. Yes, I should have made an extra effort to confirm United Health Vision was not the same as United Healthcare. As I was not given an insurance card, there was no way for me to know. The receptionist looked at the one card I had and said that was good enough. Then, the doctor ordered several unnecessary tests to doublecheck increased occular pressure that I've had for several years. The doctor specifically said that the tests would be covered by insurance. Well, nothing was covered and I now owe over $800 for 'An Annual Eye Exam'? What's worse is the flippant attitude taken by everyone. The doctor had assured me that the problems would be resolved. The receptionist told me to go somewhere else to get someone to advocate for me! Are you kidding me? I don't have $800 for an eye exam. Why am I paying for Vision Insurance in the first place. $500 of this amount owed is for tests that never should have been done. On top of this, I had to pay extra for lenses and frames. Do not go here for your vision care!
