I've been to several bed and breakfasts, but this is by far my favorite. Good for tourists, or Milwaukee locals who want to get away from while still staying in their own town. It feels removed from time. I'm not sure where to start! We stayed in Bessies room. The Jacuzzi was amazing and the fireplace was so romantic. The shower had two shower heads and was nice and warm! They have a guest closet in the hall with movies, drinks, and toiletries in case you forget anything. The couple who runs the place is so nice. Andrew has done a lot of the woodwork and stain glass in the place. The couple took 10 years to restore the house--theyre both historians in their own right and have done a great job of keeping Milwaukee's history alive. Marie is an amazing cook and the eggs she made for breakfast came from the chicken coop in the back! Both of the two are very nice and good at telling stories. If you're from out of town, they'll recommend restaurants or things to do, if you're from town, this place gives you a good chance to see the history of Milwaukee from a tourists eyes, in a charming little bed and breakfast removed from time. This stay was very special to me and my fiance and I hope to stay again!
