We reserved a site for two nights. We had to cancel our reservations. They wouldn’t return our deposit or offer us to come the next year to use our reservation. My grandmother passed away five days prior to our expected stay. Her funeral was scheduled the time we were to go camping. We live in Texas. We were just passing through to head to our next destination and chose this location to spend three days in the area. Unfortunately, we had to cancel so we could get to my grandmother’s funeral. I asked if we could use our deposit and come next summer. The OWNER, said “absolutely not!” I asked why. She said “we don’t make exception for anyone for any reason. You didn’t cancel within the time required to get money back.” I understand, some people operate off of greed for $56. Others operate off of the potential of making $500. Sorry that we will continue to share this experience.
Polite staff and a few fun things like a playground and swimming pool during season. Even after the leaves fall, it was a quiet safe place to take a walk and enjoy the outdoors!
