yes. Going to a cat specific vet made all the difference. They were able to cut through the BS and save the day. After another vet in Waukesha misdiagnosed my cat twice after multi xrays, blood tests, exams and medications in the same week. She was visibly dying. For a third visit they estimated another $800+ for an additional test they didn't even know she would live through, and then maybe a surgeon specialist (more $$$). The cost and risk was skyrocketing. Poor cat was obviously suffering and some hard choices needed to be made. Luckily Cream city kitty had an opening the very next morning for a desperate 2nd opinion. In 10 minutes tops they found a thread tied at the back of her tongue. It was cutting into her tongue and badly infected. She had swallowed the other end and it was bunching and cutting up her intestines. It took Dr Mcdonald found what the other place couldn't in a week. They cut out the needless extra tests and had her recovering out of surgery by the afternoon. It was all FRACTION of the cost quoted at the other vet. Had we gone to cream city from the beginning, it would of saved us all some suffering and I my CC bill wouldn't be so high. Dr Mcdonald was so personable with the cat and us. The whole staff treated her like it was there favorite personal pet.
