We have eaten here twice. The first time, the food was fine, but the waitress checked up on us a little more often than necessary. However, this is preferable to our recent visit, where the waitress left when her shift ended ( she did inform us she was leaving,) and no one else came to check up on us. We sat fifteen minutes without eating, waiting for someone to come by so we could inform them that the steak we ordered medium well ( this was specified on the order slip) was definitely well done. The medium eggs were a bit too crispy for preference, and my friend bit into a piece of eggshell. Her wheat toast tasted like it was getting ready to start growing mold, a little mildew-y. My soda was under-carbonated, and you could tell by the taste. The sausage omelet was a little tough for an omelet, and had much more sausage in it than necessary. Meat is great, but don't over-do it. We had been sitting idle for quite some time, and wait staff were bringing boxes out to customers who had been seated at least ten minutes after us. I had to ask for a box when I paid for our meal. Very disappointed. We forgot that we agreed not to eat here again our last visit, and hoped it would be better. The portions are great, pancakes are delicious, but otherwise, not pleased, and will remember this time not to return.
The food and service are so-so, but I feel very concerned about sanitation here. The coffee cups sit out on the tables all day, rim side down. I watched a small child on the other side of the room play with one of these cups, and set it back down on the table. Of course, this was never taken back to the kitchen to be washed. Very gag-worthy. I was seated in a booth beside the front entrance. On the other side of the frosted glass was a laminated notice poster. Smeared on the back of this, through the glass, you could see what appeared to be strawberry cheesecake filling (or something of that sort.) Not impressed. Do not plan on returning.
