Having made two recent weekend visits, I can honestly see why Randy's has been in business for more than five decades. The service is very good, the food is above average and the diverse menu stresses Comfort dishes that are designed to please its older clientele. But I'd suggest Randy's switch to pork BBQ ribs instead of beef and perhaps offer a baked half-chicken as one of its occasional specials.
Easy to find from I-94, across the street from Holiday Gas Station. The was our first visit, and I'm so glad we stopped. It was dinner rush on a Friday night. It was busy but there was still some tables open. Staff was very quick to seat us and take our order, very friendly waiter. Complimentary cups of warm pudding was an unexpected treat. The restaurant has a very cozy feeling, dated, but enjoyable. The best, and what I was most impressed with, was that not only was our order spot on but it was how fast they served it and the quality! Huge portions of fantastic food came out within 15 minutes for 3 people during a considerably busy time. Well done! Thier breakfast is served all day and looked to have plenty of options. I wished I would have made room for pie, but I'll do that next visit for sure!
