Paisan's Restaurant

Food was good and service was very nice. It's a nice place to relax after work to release stress or meet new people. Many people come here. It's locally known. The ambiance is what really gets you, aside from the good food and service. It's calming and has a very nice touch to your soul.

I have always loved Paisan's, and I always will. The porta salad is my craving! The pizzas are thin and crispy, the pasta dishes are to die for, and the bread is perfect. During this last visit, we were seated in the circular room overlooking Lake Monona. It was a beautiful view, and the room itself is beautifully designed (the wallpaper, the light fixture, the unique "French door" room divider). But the acoustics are insane in that room, and it is loud... Super loud. There was quite a large table of guests when we were there last, and that may be an anomaly. But I would not choose to sit in that gorgeous room again if there was a large group of people dining (unless I was part of the large group, of course!) There are other seating areas and very private booths for romantic or quieter dining. I also wanted to mention the bar. It's also rounded, and has a cool feel. The bartender is a whiz, and made me a bourbon Manhattan, the likes of which I've never before tasted. Yum.
