The Osthoff Resort

I stayed here twenty times over the years. The grounds are definitely five stars. The nicely decorated courtyard area with a pond make any room facing this way worth the extra charge, especially if you plan to enjoy the balcony. The rooms these days are decent but the dark chunky furniture make it a bit dated. Wall outlets are used by the bed. While the decor is old, the units are very well kept. During events, the rates peak to being overpriced. The restaurants are okay, but there are far better places within walking distance.

We love the holiday brunches and have been coming here several years now. Wonderful selection of food that is constantly replenished. The smoked salmon is always a favorite along with the shrimp. There’s always a changing selection of gourmet salads, cheeses, relishes and sliced sausage. Separate buffet tables have selections of appetizers, salads, breakfast items including custom made omelettes along with main dinner items and a carving station fishies off with a dessert table. The atmosphere is never rushed.
