While I generally shop at Woodman's for pantry items (better prices & selection), I'm a huge fan of their fresh goods. Their produce section is crammed with locally sourced, quality produce including a comprehensive selection of organic goods. The bakery stocks goods from local favorites Batch Bakehouse and Madison Sourdough and the options in the cheese department never disappoint. Also impressive are the knowledgeable butchers at the well stocked meat counter.
The store is clean and well maintained and the cashiers always seem to be in a good mood. I also appreciate that Metcalfe's accepts Moocho as a payment options.
