Hampton Inn & Suites Madison / Downtown

The facility is one of the best Hampton Inns I’ve ever stayed at and more upscale than I usually experience and I travel a lot across the country. I’ve stayed here before for work, but brought my family back so they could experience a musical at the Overture Center, which was walking distance from the hotel. I called ahead to talk with the General Manager (Michael Luehrs) as I wanted this to be a special stay for my family. When we arrived, Michael personally oversaw the placement of our rooms and upgraded us to two rooms so that we would be more comfortable. He then took the time to make recommendations to my wife and me of local dining options as well as other activities. He said it was personal to him as he remembers fondly a similar childhood trip and wanted it to be a great memory for my family. We did have a very memorable experience thanks, in part to Michael and his staff. They made a huge difference in how they cared for us. I’m staying here every time I come to Madison.
