Have not purchased a vehicle but have had vehicle serviced. Initial reason for service in October 2016 issues with heating/air blower motor system. The vehicle was covered under warranty and it was requested that the system be checked - one would think a reputable shop would check the entire system thoroughly. Initial fix was to replace blower motor. It is now 6 months later and the vehicle is doing the exact same thing. I made another appointment explaining that I just had the car there for this issue in October. I am now being told that initially the entire system was NOT checked thoroughly and the blower motor was basically just replaced because that is where I pointed the issue to (as a starting point mind you). The resistor, the connection was never checked. Now I'm being told that it is the resistor and since my warranty has run out it will be $480. The entire system should have been checked especially if they determined there was an issue with the blower motor as any malfunction of that motor could cause damage at the same time to the resistor. I'm also being told that they checked with my warranty company if that fix would have been covered at that time and apparently the warranty company said no it wouldn't have been - kind of weird for a bumper to bumper warranty. Also, on a side note the problem with the blower motor/connection/resistor is a very common problem for the year/make/model of my vehicle - another reason to check the entire system. I will have the vehicle fixed but not by this shop. It's a shame I have done business with Havill-Spoerl (Jefferson) for years and have never had anything but the best most customer friendly service. I will no longer be a customer of Griffin Ford.
