Ella's Deli and Ice Cream Parlor

This place is amazing. Food was wondering. Staff were very helpful and kind. So much to see. If you are in Madison Wisconsin you have to bring your children here. The icecream was delightful. They even have a carousel for the kids. My kids had a blast. Would love to visit again some day.

A historical gem! I remember coming here as a little girl and being in amazement of all the flying characters and cool tables. A real ice cream parlor and a working carosel add to the charm. Do yourself a favor and try and open faced sandwich or a reuben. The service is fantastic and the staff lovely. When I first brought my 2 year old twins and new baby last year they were supportive of me breastfeeding at my table discreetly so I could enjoy the meal with my family. We will be back, Ella's, as a 3rd generation!

This place is so cool! I can't even begin to describe the inside. There are so many strange moving contraptions hanging from the walls and ceilings that my 3 year old actually sat there for an hour without fidgeting and whining. And the sandwiches are amazing! We finished off with a couple carosel rides. Everyone visiting Madison should stop here!
