Dalles Restaurant & Lounge

Located just outside Interstate Park, Dalles Restaurant is a cross of local Wisconsin pride, and an Art Deco dining room styling. Tables have red velvet clamshell chairs, and the walls are adorned with paintings of the local landscapes. A motif of a cliff side found in the park, is painted onto the glass that divides the tables in the center of the room. On the tables, a small place card lays out the history of the establishment. Much like the restaurant itself, a mix of local cuisine, and fine dining can be found on the menu. I personally had blackened walleye with homemade tarter sauce, and a side of hash browns. The menu also contains a vegetarian special, and the desert presentation is incredibly unique. Attached to the dining area is a bar and patio, it’s open a bit later then the restaurant, and live local music can be heard performing most nights. Highly recommended after a long day of hiking in the park.
