Me and my family were on vacation for the weekend and had our alternator start to fail about 40 miles from Wisconsin Dells. We were able to limp it to Carquest and they had a new one in stock. The old one was replaced less than a year ago in my home town of Augusta and still under warranty. I however keep my receipts at home and only had the bar code and number on the old alternator. Even without it they were able to honor the warranty and even loaned me a some hand tools so I could swap the alternators out. During which I found the idler pully bearing was going bad and also had the part in stock and was ale to buy and replace it as well. A few dollors for the idler pully and 45 minutes later and we were back on vacation. I can't thank them enough for all the help. They easily could have turned me down and sold me an alternator at full price. But they didn't and really went above and beyond what I'd ever expect out of a parts store.
