I had first inquired about BioLife back in September of 2016. At that time, I had a vein deferral so they sent me home and told me to come back a few months down the line, in hopes my vein in my left arm would pop out. It turns out, it is just a deep vein. So with all of this time, my fear of needles and my boggled brain, I was afraid to return and complete my first successful donation. I must say that there were two people that really stood out to me. Their names were Michael and Kelly (at the Stevens Point location.) With this degree of work and the level of professionalism needed to do a great job in this field, there isn't much room for errors. I feel both of the technicians did very well because they were always there and willing to help for the duration of my donation. They made me feel comfortable and appreciated as well. I was so thankful they hooked up the needle correctly and got that line running. I have wanted to help other's in this way for a while. Best of all, I have SUPER sensitive skin and due to the fact that everything was set-up so diligently, I had no infection. There is no scarring, no pain, and I actually feel better now than before I went in yesterday! I am hoping to have another successful donation soon. They are true life-changers!
