I graduated AHS with the Class of 2016. If you work hard here, you will benefit. AHS possesses a stellar staff. It was very common to see teachers staying an hour or more after school to help their students with essays, homework, etc. Several teachers in particular go "above and beyond the call of duty" so to speak. They really befriend their students. Make sure you take at least one class with Mr. Cayemberg, Mr. Mommaerts, Mr. Miller, Mr. Dreier, or Ms. Bunkleman. The staff here is very talented. The curriculum is great as well. Overall, if you put in the work, you will succeed, and again - the teachers are willing to help you if you need it. There are plenty of AP courses for students to select from. I earned many college credits in my junior and senior years of high school and those college credits have served me well at St. Norbert College. I'm currently a first year at SNC, but I'm already half-way through my Sophomore year (credit-wise) thanks to the credits I earned as a high school student at AHS. There are also many extra-curricular activities to participate in after school, lots of clubs and organizations to join. Most kids are involved in at least one after school activity, if not two or three activities. My only "complaint" would be the school lunches on certain days... Just stay FAR away from the burritos and you'll be fine.
Sorry about the repeating photos attached to this post, my computer is acting up.
